Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled School Occupational Therapist (OT) and Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) to join our team. These roles involve working with K-12 students to help them develop the skills necessary to participate fully in their educational environment. As integral members of our multidisciplinary team, you will support students physical, sensory, and cognitive development, enabling them to achieve their fullest potential.
Key Responsibilities:
For Occupational Therapist (OT):
- Assess students abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to address their unique needs.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapy goals into students daily routines.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to the development of student goals and objectives.
- Adapt and modify school environments to support student participation and success.
- Provide training and resources to teachers and staff to support students needs.
For Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs):
- Assist in implementing therapy plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Provide direct therapy services under the supervision of an OT.
- Monitor and document student progress and report findings to the OT.
- Assist in adapting classroom environments and materials to meet student needs.
- Collaborate with the OT and educational staff to support students therapy goals.
Requirements:
For Occupational Therapist (OT):
- Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Valid StateOccupational Therapist License.
- Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of occupational therapy in an educational context.
For Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs):
- Associates Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- ValidOTA License.
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
